Us and Them
“Violently bastard kick the heavenly hellish gates ajar, and we shall passionately enter at our own risk along with so many other briars.
Feed the monster and the monster grows, just as you do.
Societal relevancy in the cranial genes of humans guarantee the worst in numbers as nefarious wars suggest.
Watch the sadistic herd herds off a cliff just so that someone could giggle.
How can a monster coexist with us for an exorbitant amount of time in GOD’s eye, while Cancerous and Infectious people must die early?
Cruel intentions from the cosmos to the inner core of oneself is all that is needed to conjure such a maliciously convoluted reality.
Be that as it may, masses upon masses of multi-colored beings congregate into their respective colors so they can feel like they live in a dream world, as if they are the one and only societies to be of importance.
Such is so, as what could be expected of biochemical robots of the epic cosmos.”

“Inspiration Corner: Jennifer Lopez”
In Inspiration Corner on March 7, 2011 at 2:12 pmI have been fascinated with Jennifer Lopez ever since her starring role in the movie “Selena”. From her humble beginnings as a fly girl, to her rise to the top of a media empire, Jennifer has never stopped inspiring me. I cannot tell you how many hairstyles, or styling choices I have made over the years inspired by this amazing woman.
For this edition of Inspiration corner I leave you with one of my all time favorite pictures. Not only did I walk into a hair salon years ago with this very picture asking for that exact hairstyle, but now looking at it I’m reminded of the definition of sexy given to me by one of the sexiest men I know… He likes nothing more than a woman in a tank top and boy-short panties… So here you go CMR, this one is for you…

“Inspiration Corner: Monique Antoinette Photography”
In Inspiration Corner on March 6, 2011 at 11:58 amFor this edition of Inspiration Corner I present to you Los Angeles based, conceptual photographer, Monique Antoinette.
Here is Monique in her own words: “Creating is something that is essential to my existence and I don’t know what I’d do without that ability. One of the many highlights I love about my job is making people feel beautiful and a “part” of something. I can’t think of a better feeling than seeing the look on my clients faces when they see themselves through my eyes for each project. Every photograph is individual and unique in it’s own way. I do not re-use sets or conceptual ideas. My inspiration comes heavily from my imagination and where I got “That” is anyone’s guess.”

What does photography mean to you?
Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still pictures by recording radiation on a – oh let me stop playing lol. Photography means a lot to me actually because its another medium for me to express my artistic side and my feelings outside of computer graphics.

What inspired you to pick up the camera and begin your journey as a photographer?
Well long story short, I had a desktop publishing class in high school which taught me graphics, printing and photography. So I switched majors in college and when I was doing my graphic internship, the owner of the business was getting a lot of customers for weddings because he was also a videographer. So people always asked for a photographer so I decided to buy a digital camera and do weddings. I started off with models although to learn the camera and lighting. It pretty much took off from there.
What inspires you to keep picking it up?
Its fun and I get to meet new people, and travel. Also it provides me with another service for money as well for my business.
Who do you look up to in terms of their photography?
Del Anthony, Frank HotSauce, and Keith Claytor.
Define what “beauty” means to you..
Beauty to me is whatever I find aesthetically pleasing to any of the senses. Or the ability to make order out of chaos and vice versa.
Describe your favorite kind of model to work with (attitude, ability, etc)
My favorite model to work with is a great poser or at least flexible and knows her body. She doesn’t fear pushing the boundaries and knows how to have fun during the shoot as well. What helps is the models who doesn’t set limitations on themselves due to some boyfriend or friends beliefs.

How do you decide on locations & subjects?
I make that decision based up the outfit or concept we are doing. I try my best to make sure the environment matches the concept or outfit unless you going for a contradiction (bridal gown in an abandoned warehouse).

Who or where would you like to shoot that you haven’t already?
I will like to shoot at a Desert or a tropical area.
How do you feel about “digital enhancement/manipulation” and to what extent do you use it?
I feel its highly misused. I am always a realist and believe in realism. Its one thing to get rid of blemishes and such but when you actually started reconstructing body parts then it’s a problem. Especially when its used to hide lack of lighting technique and laziness.
What is the ONE lasting impression you want to leave in your photos?
The lasting impression is you are able to understand what I shot and why I shot it, also for you to see that one moment frozen in time.
